■Product Description
The Ukuru-class escort ships were designed to further reduce man-hours and shorten construction time compared to the previous Mikura-class escort ships, and 20 ships were built between June 1944 and March 1945. In addition to the increased number of anti-aircraft guns, the anti-submarine capabilities were improved by the addition of 16 Type 3 depth charge launchers on both sides and a stern drop trajectory.
