■Product Description
The Su-57 is a fifth-generation fighter aircraft developed under the Russian Air Force's "Future Combat Complex for Tactical Air Forces" program, which is the next-generation main fighter aircraft development program. It is intended to replace the aging MiG-29 and Su-27. The Sukhoi design was adopted in 2002, and full-scale development began. Initially scheduled for its first flight in 2009, it was slightly delayed and made its maiden flight in January 2010 under the Sukhoi Design Bureau designation "T-50". The aircraft that made its maiden flight had large tapered wings with a swept-back leading edge and a swept-back trailing edge, and the angles of the fuselage sides and tail were the same.
In 2017, the Russian Air Force officially designated it as the Su-57.
In accordance with the Russian Air Force's decision in 2017 to officially designate the aircraft as the Su-57, the kit's molds have been partially modified to represent aircraft from the 4th prototype onwards. Paint color diagrams for Unit 4 (T-50-4) and Unit 5 (T-50-5R) are included.
