■Product Description
Based on the lessons learned from the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, the "Izu" was built as a disaster response patrol vessel equipped with excellent communication facilities and material transport capabilities, and also possessing hospital ship functions. The ship has living facilities for 120 medical staff and rescue personnel, a medical room equipped with an operating table, and space for loading relief supplies. The stern of the hull is equipped with a helicopter landing deck and a large crane for loading and unloading supplies.
