■ Description
The original class was a third-generation Naval Self-Defense Missile Protective Ship, and the first ship, the Tombstone, was built at the Nagasaki Shipyard in Tatsuya, Japan, and commissioned on March 27, 1986.
Compared to the previous Cold War class, the agency was the first missile patrol vessel to be propelled by gas turbines, and the mounting position of the missile launcher was changed from the rear to the front to respond to air threats from the front.
It's the only escort ship equipped with bulwarks at the bow to protect the launcher from the waves.
On October 24, 2014, it was reorganized into the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Squadron.
