In the 1980s, twelve ships were commissioned, the first all-gas stationed ships of the Maritime Self-Defense Force, as well as a general-purpose escort ship capable of towering helicopters.
Six ships have been decommissioned and four are training vessels, but the 11th, commissioned in 1987, is still in service as a patrol vessel.
The kit can be fitted with parts like a ship's bottom, satellite antenna, mast truss, and reproduce the current state of the art.
