■Product Description
A 1/350 scale reproduction of the bridge of the Kongo, one of the battleships that played an active role in the Pacific War.
This product uses the mold of the existing 1/350 scale battleship Kongo.
The product is modeled after the Sho-Go 1 operation in October 1944.
The main parts of the bridge are molded in a gray color that imitates the Sasebo Naval Arsenal color.
Clear molded parts are provided for the bridge windows and searchlight signals.
A display stand and a sticker for the ship's name are included.
The reproduction covers the area from the uppermost deck to the No. 21 radar at the top, and includes the second turret connected to the shelter deck at the front.
Each level of the bridge is stacked, and the tripod supports and rear angle materials are inserted and assembled.
The shelter deck is represented by delicate carvings depicting a wooden deck.
The intake and exhaust vents and machine gun ammunition boxes on the wooden deck are separate parts, reducing the need for detailed painting.
The 25mm machine guns positioned on all four sides of the bridge are made of 4 parts each for the twin and triple mounts, a feature unique to 1/350 scale.
The windows in the five locations of the compass bridge, lower observation post, combat bridge, targeting post, and upper observation post are reproduced with clear parts.
Each level features sculpted details such as grating and linoleum fasteners.
The ladders are separate parts.
The main gun barrels are designed to be able to elevate and depress. The canvas parts are separate parts to facilitate painting.
The 4.5-meter rangefinder is a polycap-type assembly that allows for rotation.
Binocular telescope parts are provided to enhance the sense of detail in the targeting post and anti-aircraft command post.
The angle of the rangefinder support structure on the back of the bridge is made with fine detail, such as reproducing the lightening holes with sculpted details.
Delicate parts such as the Type 90 radio telephone antenna and the E27 radar detector are reproduced as separate parts.
The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly, and painting.
The molded parts consist of three colors: gray (Sasebo Naval Arsenal color), clear plastic, and black for the base parts.
Approximately 250 parts
