■Product Description
A 1/350 scale reproduction of the bridge of the Yamashiro, the tallest battleship of the Japanese battleships!
The battleship Yamashiro was built as the second ship of the Fuso, Japan's first dreadnought battleship. After numerous performance improvements and modifications, it entered the Pacific War, sortieing in October 1944 to counter the US invasion of the Philippines, and was sunk after a battle.
The Yamashiro's bridge had distinctive features compared to the Fuso, such as a rounded conning tower and struts with a greater degree of leg spread, and had a distinctive shape with rangefinder support structures similar to those of the battleship Haruna.
This product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly, and painting.
This product uses the mold of the existing 1/350 scale battleship Yamashiro.
The product is modeled after the Type 21 radar was removed around the first half of 1944.
The main parts of the bridge are molded in a gray color that imitates the Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color.
The bridge windows and searchlights are made of clear molded parts.
A display stand and a sticker for the ship's name are included.
The model reproduces the area from the top deck to the rangefinder at the top, and the forward area including the second turret connected to the shelter deck.
The model is assembled in the same style as the actual structure, with a truss/tripod structure and each deck layered on top of each other.
The shelter deck features delicate carvings to represent a wooden deck.
The Type 89 12.7cm twin anti-aircraft gun on the shelter deck is made of 6 parts, a detail unique to 1/350 scale.
The 25mm twin machine guns positioned fore and aft of the bridge are made of 3 parts, a detail unique to 1/350 scale, and the elevation angle can be adjusted.
The windows in the five locations—the compass bridge, lower observation post, battle bridge, targeting station, and main gun control station—are reproduced with clear parts.
The compass bridge and the floors of each other levels feature carved strip patterns.
Multiple ladders are provided to connect each layer, all as separate parts.
The 4.5-meter rangefinder can be fixed at any angle.
The wing section of the battleship bridge has a lightening hole structure reproduced with engraving.
Binocular telescope parts are provided to enhance the sense of detail, such as the targeting station and battleship bridge.
The truss structure of the rangefinder indicator on the back of the bridge has a sense of detail, such as the lightening holes reproduced with engraving.
The molded parts consist of three colors: gray (Yokosuka Naval Arsenal color), transparent, and black for the base part.
