■Product Description
Shureimon Gate was built during the reign of King Sho Sei of the Second Sho Dynasty (1527-1555).
At the time it was called "Taikenmon," which was its official name, but now it is commonly known as Shureimon.
It was designated a national treasure in 1933, but it was destroyed along with Shuri Castle during the Battle of Okinawa. The current Shureimon Gate was restored in 1958.
The instruction manual has been completely revamped!
It now includes an explanation of the actual structure with illustrations by Shingo Watanabe (affiliated with Wade Co., Ltd.), who is active in monthly magazines!
The design is based on the gate after it was repainted following the reconstruction of Shuri Castle.
