■Product Description
The first ship of the Yamato-class battleships, "Yamato," was completed in December 1941 as the culmination of large shipbuilding technology from the Kongo-class to the Nagato-class.
With a standard displacement of 64,000 tons and equipped with 46 cm guns as its main armament, it was world-class in every respect and was ready to become the flagship of the Combined Fleet. In the Battle of Midway, it sortied as the flagship of the Combined Fleet Commander-in-Chief Isoroku Yamamoto. After that, as aircraft became the main force in battle, the Yamato underwent modifications such as the removal of some of its secondary guns and the strengthening of its anti-aircraft armament. In October 1944, it participated in Operation Sho-Go 1/Battle of Leyte Gulf, and in April 1945, it sortied to destroy the US forces that had landed on Okinawa at the water's edge, where it met its end at the hands of numerous US carrier-based aircraft.

[Hull and Bottom]
The hull is divided into left and right sections, separated by the waterline. It is molded in a special gray color that mimics the battleship gray used at the Kure Naval Arsenal. The portholes are specially made to represent the ship with many of them closed, with recessed carving for open windows and raised carving for closed windows for a sharp and accurate representation. The raised external electrical conduits attached to the sides of the hull are accurately represented down to the fastening points. The bottom of the hull is made into a one-piece part using slide molding, eliminating the need to process the seams. The bulbous bow at the bow is realistically reproduced with a three-dimensional design. The rudder is a three-dimensional, rectangular shape, different from that of the third ship, Shinano. The surface of the rudder is also represented with precision, showing the seams of the steel plates. [Main Guns] The main guns can be elevated and rotated. Achieving both a minimum number of parts and realistic molding. The direction of the 46 cm main gun barrels is set to open using slide molding. To reproduce the additional machine gun mounts on the roofs of the second and third main guns, special parts are provided for both the main gun roofs and machine gun mounts. The secondary guns are rotatable, and the barrel and turret are a single-piece structure.

[Bridge]
The bridge uses a split and slide mold to minimize seams between parts, and the parts are integrated. The Type 22 radar on both sides of the bridge is a special part that reproduces its relocated appearance.
The 15-meter rangefinder and compass are designed to be rotatable.
The additional crew waiting area and enlarged signal station deck at the rear of the bridge are provided as special parts.

[Chimney and Mast]
The chimney is a left and right combination type, and the steam exhaust pipe, whistle pipe, and monkey ladder are all represented as one piece. The cap part (grille) at the top is hollow, creating a very realistic molding with a sense of depth.
The mast is a two-piece structure and is designed to integrate the Type 13 radar that was installed at this time.

[Aircraft]
Two types of aircraft are included as special dark green color parts.
One Zero (three-seat) seaplane reconnaissance aircraft and one Zero observation aircraft each.
Panel lines are recessed, and the propellers are integrated with the fuselage using slide molding for precise detailing.

The box art depicts the Yamato sailing at high speed under a clear sky, illustrated by Yoshiyuki Takani.

The display base has been redesigned!

The product is based on the final configuration (1945) of the Yamato, which had even more anti-aircraft guns installed than in the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
It reproduces the appearance with a significant reduction in the number of 25mm single-barreled guns and the addition of numerous 25mm triple-barreled guns.

Designed as a snap-fit kit that does not require glue, this series is a cut above conventional kits.
It significantly lowers the barrier to entry for ship models, allowing you to easily enjoy a realistic finish.

【Renewed Display Base!】
□Revised shape and new design for improved stability! Lower center of gravity and increased contact area for greater stability.
□Molded in black and composed of 4 parts.
□The horizontal surface has a smooth surface and a rough textured surface, and is a reversible part that can be painted blue to create the image of waves.

The Ship NEXT series is a plastic model kit that makes ship models easier to build while achieving a realistic finish.
◆No painting is required thanks to the color-coded molding of each part.
◆A splitting method is used that makes the joints of the parts less noticeable.
◆It is a snap kit that does not require glue.
◆Decals are included to reproduce the color coding of fine details.
◆By removing the part below the waterline, you can reproduce a waterline model.
