■Product Description
A full-hull model of the Ise during its battleship era, equipped with 6 turrets and 12 guns.
(Basic Specifications)
・The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly, and painting.
・The scale is 1/700, and it is a full-hull specification including the bottom of the hull.
・The product is composed of conventional (Special Series) molds and newly added molds.
・The part below the waterline is made with molds designed in 2026, and the part above the waterline is made with molds designed in 2017.
(Product Specifications)
・The product is modeled after the refit, based on the appearance of the Ise in the early stages of the Pacific War in 1941-1942, before its conversion into an aircraft battleship.
→The final form of the pure battleship (except when the prototype radar was installed), with the 5th and 6th main gun turrets still intact.
→The sides and upper deck are specially molded parts for battleships, different from the aircraft battleship Ise that has already been produced.
→The bridge, which is different from that of an aircraft battleship, is represented with dedicated parts.
●Hull
・The side parts are divided into left and right sections.
→The sides and bottom of the hull are designed with parts divided at the waterline.
・The portholes are unclosed and numerous are lined up along the sides, reproduced with delicate carvings.
→The side parts are equipped with external electrical circuits, and the portholes are unclosed, which is unique to battleships.
●Upper Deck
・Prepared as dedicated parts different from those of aircraft battleship products.
・Reproduced from the bow to the 6th main gun as a single integrated part.
→The anchor chain guide and air intake are represented as an integrated part with the deck.
→Wooden deck The carvings are designed with a depth that takes into account panel lining.
The aircraft handling deck is a separate part from the wooden deck.
●Bridge
・A structure assembled by layering multiple parts.
→Composed of specially designed parts different from those of an aircraft battleship.
→The lower shelter deck, lower bridge, and upper bridge are integrated using slide molds.
→The floor of each level above the compass bridge is covered with linoleum and has carvings that reproduce the strip pattern.
→The floor of the anti-aircraft command post is depicted with fine carvings that represent the grating.
●Main guns and secondary guns
・Main guns The body reproduces the muzzle using slide molding, and the gun elevation is fixed.
The main gun turret has a detailed surface shape, and the rangefinder is a separate part.
The secondary gun has a casemate, waterproof cover, and barrel integrated into one part.
●Chimney and Aviation Equipment
The chimney has a left and right glued structure.
The truss structure around the chimney is reproduced with separate parts.
The stern aircraft work deck is a separate part from the wooden deck section, reducing painting work.
Three Type 95 seaplanes are included.
●Aft Mast
・The mast is made up of multiple parts to reproduce its complex shape.
→The crosstree is a special part to reproduce the difference in shape from Hyuga.
→The mast top is a special part to reproduce the vertical and V-shape.
●Bottom of the hull
・The bottom of the hull is a single piece for both the left and right sides.
・The bulge below the waterline is a separate part from the bottom of the hull.
・The bilge keel is an integral part with the bulge.
●Decals
・One sheet of each type of decal is included.
・One sheet of decals includes markings such as the naval ensign, national flag, and the Hinomaru on carrier-based aircraft.
→Three sizes of naval ensigns, etc. are available. The actual dimensions of the 10-width, 6-width, and 3-width aircraft are reproduced in 1/700 scale.
→Includes the Hinomaru (Japanese national emblem) on carrier-based aircraft, friendly identification stripes (yellow stripes), etc., and the Hinomaru also includes those without the white border from the later stages of the war.
