■Product Description
A special edition of the Imperial Japanese Navy series "Japanese Navy Battleship Yamato" that comes with photo-etched parts and wooden deck decals!
The product is a full-hull specification that can reproduce the bottom of the ship, and comes with a display stand that can be enjoyed after completion.
The product is modeled after the appearance of the ship during Operation Ten-Go in 1945.
【Hull】
The hull is constructed with the port and starboard sides and the upper wooden deck section as one piece.
・The portholes, which are characteristic of the later stages of the war, are represented with raised molding to show their closed state.
・The wooden deck is represented with raised molding.
・The molded color of the parts, including the hull and bottom plate, is gray.
・The bridge and smokestack are made of two halves joined together.
・The lower part of the hull is made of one piece, with the propeller and rudder being separate parts.
【Equipment】
Equipment representing the final configuration with enhanced anti-aircraft armament.
・The main guns have the barrel and canvas integrated, and the elevation angle is fixed at the locking position.
・Only the two secondary guns remaining after the refit are included, and the turret and barrel are integrated into one part.
・The 25mm triple machine guns (without shields) come with both conventional molded parts and precisely molded parts from the 2018 mold, allowing for selection.
・The barrel elevation angle of the shielded 25mm triple machine guns can be selected from two positions: high elevation and locking position.
・The machine gun mounts added on the main gun roof and at the stern are reproduced with dedicated parts.
・Two types of carrier-based reconnaissance seaplanes are included: the Type 0 Observation Seaplane and the Type 0 (three-seat) Seaplane Reconnaissance Seaplane, with two of each included.
・The molded color of the carrier-based aircraft is gray for ease of assembly.
【Decals】
Three types of decals are included, one of each.
・Decals for the naval ensign, the Japanese flag, and aircraft markings.
・Decals for draft markings, the chrysanthemum emblem on the bow, and the ship's name on the stern (two types: gold and solid naval gray).
・Decals to easily represent the walkway on the aircraft deck at the rear of the ship.
【Etched Parts】
Etched parts are included that allow you to represent details that are difficult to reproduce with injection molded parts.
The etched parts are made of brass and two types are included, one of each.
The etched parts include ladders, ladders, direction finders, signal light posts, window frames for the compass bridge, and the Type 21 radar.
Etching size Large etching (approx.): 96 x 180 mm Small etching (approx.): 38 x 180 mm
[Wooden deck decals]
The wooden deck decals are surface-processed with a laser cutter to reproduce the irregular wood grain pattern.
They are cut to match the deck parts and consist of two pieces divided into front and back.
The fine lines of the wooden deck pattern, which are difficult to express with paint, can be easily and realistically reproduced.
