■Product Description
A detailed model of the battleship Kongo, from its appearance with enhanced anti-aircraft armament during the Battle of Leyte Gulf to its final appearance!
(Basic Specifications)
・It is an assembly kit that uses adhesive, and is characterized by its detailed construction that pursues the realism of the model.
・The molded color is mainly gray, and it is designed to be assembled while enjoying painting.
・The product is modeled after the appearance of the Kongo-class battleship No. 1 "Kongo" from Operation Sho-Go No. 1 in October 1944 to its final appearance.
・Equipped with Type 21 and Type 22 radars on the bridge and Type 13 radar on the aft mast.
・Additional machine gun mounts are equipped on the roofs of the No. 2 and No. 3 main guns.
・The anti-aircraft command post is enlarged.
・Two searchlights have been removed and the 25mm triple machine guns have been increased.
・Some of the secondary guns have been removed, the casings closed, and two 12.7 cm twin anti-aircraft guns have been added.
・The shape of the anti-aircraft command post with the observation compass removed.
・The appearance after the No. 7 and No. 8 machine guns have been moved to machine gun mounts near the funnel.
・The 4.5 meter rangefinder on the aft bridge has been replaced with an additional machine gun.
・The appearance with an additional single machine gun installed.
The standard specification (STD version) is a specification composed of a minimum number of parts so that it can be easily assembled.
The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing, assembly and painting.
The scale is 1/700, and it is a waterline model that does not include the bottom of the hull.
This product is made with the conventional (Special Series) molds.

・The hull has a structure in which the port and starboard sides are one piece.
・The portholes, which are characteristic of the later stages of the war, are represented by raised molding to show their closed state.
・The upper deck is a single piece with delicate wooden deck carvings.
・The bridge base is a single piece made using slide molding.
・The linoleum flooring on the aircraft work deck is provided as a separate part from the upper deck.
・Only the Kongo has a special part to reproduce the slanted shape at the boundary with the wooden deck.
・The funnel is a two-piece structure with left and right parts glued together.
・The strip patterns on the floor, such as the high-angle gun mounts, are expressed with fine carvings.
・The funnel caps have a highly detailed structure with a hollowed-out appearance.
・The main gun roofs are Kongo/Hiei exclusive parts with a flat side shape.
・The main guns have the barrel and canvas as one piece, and the elevation angle is fixed.
・The main gun muzzles are open using slide molding.
・Two Type 0 reconnaissance seaplanes and one Type 0 observation seaplane are included, molded in gray.
・The molded color is gray for the main parts, hull bottom plate, aircraft, and machine gun parts.
・The included decals include markings for the naval ensign and aircraft.
