■Product Description
The state-of-the-art light cruiser of the post-treaty era - now available in two selectable versions: its final sortie with the Yamato and its appearance in 1944.
(Basic Specifications)
●The product can be selected from multiple yearly states.
・Its final appearance, when it sortied to Okinawa with the Yamato in Operation Ten-Go in April 1945, equipped with 28 25mm single-mount machine guns.
・After the Battle of the Philippine Sea from the end of June 1944, equipped with 18 25mm single-mount machine guns, before the change in the shape of the aircraft handling deck.
・Its appearance during the Battle of the Philippine Sea in June 1944, when the single-mount machine guns were not yet increased.
(Structure, Specifications, Features)
●The modern Agano-class shape, which differed from the flow of Japanese light cruisers up to that point, is reproduced without reservation.
・The hull is designed with left and right split parts. The portholes, which were closed and reduced in number compared to when it was completed, are reproduced with dedicated parts.
・The external electrical conduits running around the entire perimeter of the hull are delicately sculpted, even down to the fasteners.
・The deck and each level of the bridge feature linoleum-like fasteners and sharply defined anti-slip strip patterns on the steel deck.
・The shelter section in front of the bridge is made into a single part using a slide mold. The side walls feature intricate sculpting and molding.
・The main gun turrets reproduce windows, ladders, and steel plate joints on the sides and top using a slide mold.
・The grille at the top of the funnel is realistically molded in a hollow state, and the internal fairing plates are also three-dimensionally rendered as separate parts.
・The funnel is designed as a left and right split part, and the monkey ladder is also finely sculpted.
・The steam exhaust pipes are each separate parts to express the differences from sister ships.
・The triangular pyramidal truss at the bottom of the mast is made in a hollow state using a slide mold.
・The small cranes on both sides of the aft end of the aircraft work deck are separate parts and are reproduced three-dimensionally and accurately.
・The 4.5-meter high-angle rangefinder has an accurately shaped cylindrical arm and is enclosed as a dedicated part.
・The Type 22 radar, gangway (storage), direction-finding antenna, and spare wing storage area are all made into separate parts without any omissions.
・The 8cm twin high-angle guns have their shields and barrels made into separate parts and are included as newly designed dedicated parts.
・The seaplane recovery crane reproduces even the lightening holes on the sides to increase the sense of precision.
・Two Type 0 (three-seat) seaplanes are included. The molded color is clear, which gives the canopy a realistic finish. (Standard specification is gray molded color)
・Two types of decals are included: one decal for marking the carrier-based seaplanes and one decal for the ship name at the stern and the white line on the mast.
●The PLUS version differs from the standard version and includes the following replacement parts.
・25mm twin machine gun: A two-part design with precise molding and an easy-to-paint structure, using parts from the 2018 mold is included as standard.
・Binoculars: The bridge air defense command post includes binoculars for reconnaissance and observation to enhance the sense of precision.
・Type 13 radar: A newly included part with engraved truss structure and shaped antenna section.
・Type 21 radar: The insulator base for fixing the element on the front side is expressed with more delicate engraving than the conventional included parts.
・Type 22 radar uses a slide mold to create a part in the open state, and it is also possible to create a trumpet shape with an extended shape.
・9-meter cutter: Made of two parts for painting purposes, with a separate mount part, allowing you to choose between a deck-integrated mold or a separate mount. (Excluding some parts)
・Chrysanthemum emblem: A new chrysanthemum emblem has been prepared for the bow.
・Navigation lights: Newly prepared for additional detail in areas that were previously omitted.
