■Product Description
The kit is molded in battleship gray, hull bottom gray, and dark green, with fine details reproduced using realistic stickers. The product is based on the ship during Operation Sho-Go 1. The bridge is equipped with a Type 21 radar, and triple machine guns line the main gun roof. Distinguishing features from its sister ship Mutsu are reproduced with dedicated parts to recreate the differences in the arrangement and shape of the windows at the front of the bridge. Only the Nagato comes with a vertical radar, the Type 13 radar, near the aft observation post. The aircraft included is a dark green "Type 0 Reconnaissance Seaplane," and the Hinomaru (rising sun) mark on the wing can be reproduced with a sticker.
This completes the Chibi Maru Fleet's 12 Japanese battleships series, and the Nagato, the first ship of the Nagato class, appears in its brave form with anti-aircraft armament at the end of the war! When completed, the Nagato was equipped with the world's largest 41 cm guns and was Japan's first high-speed battleship, achieving a speed of 26.5 knots, and was an iconic battleship of the Combined Fleet. The kit is molded in battleship gray, hull bottom gray, and dark green, and detailed paint differences are reproduced using highly adhesive realistic decals. The product is based on the ship as it appeared during Operation Sho-Go 1 (Battle of Leyte Gulf), with a Type 21 radar mounted on top of the bridge and triple machine guns lined up on the main gun turret roof. The famous differences in the window arrangement and shape of the front of the bridge, which distinguish it from its sister ship Mutsu, are reproduced using dedicated parts. A vertical radar, the Type 13 radar, is included only with the Nagato and can be reproduced near the aft observation post. The carrier-based aircraft is a "Type 0 Reconnaissance Seaplane" molded in dark green, and the Hinomaru (Japanese flag) on the wing can be easily reproduced by simply applying pre-cut decals.
