■Product Description
Based on the latest documents, this model depicts the Shinano as it would have been if it had been in actual combat,
fully equipped with numerous anti-aircraft weapons.
While reproducing fine details with a small number of parts, it is a "beginner-friendly, authentic scale model" that prioritizes ease of assembly.
The hull is split into left and right halves, and the bilge keel is molded as one piece using a slide mold.
A structure that sandwiches the girder parts is adopted to achieve strength and secure assembly.
The large flight deck, one of the ship's features, which is finished with concrete,
is molded as one part. The island-type bridge and the sloping chimney are also precisely reproduced.
The aircraft included are selected from those that were planned to be carried,
a total of 6 aircraft are included: 2 Zero Fighter Type 52s, 1 Tenzan, 1 Ryusei Kai, 1 Saiun, and 1 Shiden Kai Ni.
The Shiden-Kai 2 was a carrier-based aircraft variant with two additional 13mm machine guns mounted in the nose and a landing hook installed.
Only a prototype was manufactured. During the Shinano's sea trials in mid-November 1944,
this prototype underwent takeoff and landing tests.
