■Product Description
The Skyhawk's final single-seat model, the "A-4M," was developed for the US Marine Corps.
Around the time the US Navy began deploying the A-7 Corsair II and the A-4 became the main carrier-based attack aircraft, the US Marine Corps adopted the A-4M as a land-based attack aircraft instead of the A-7.
The M model featured a J52-P-408A engine, and the intake was also enlarged accordingly.
The outline of the vertical stabilizer was also changed to a more angular shape.
A larger type of canopy was also fitted.
The aircraft also underwent a major overhaul of its electronics, including a fin-tip radome on the vertical stabilizer, an LST in the nose, and ALR-54/ALQ-126 in the nose and tail.
