Ring Temco The A-7A Corsair II is a carrier-based attack aircraft developed as a successor to the A-4 Skyhawk.
To reduce development time and costs,
the design philosophy of the company's F-8 Crusader carrier-based fighter was utilized,
and parts were also used.
The A model was the first mass-produced model and was deployed to combat units in September 1967,
and subsequently developed into the B, C, and E models, with the final aircraft for the Navy rolling out in May 1971.
