■Product Description
The P-40 series served as the main fighter aircraft of not only the U.S. Army Air Forces but also the Allied forces, playing an active role on every battlefield of World War II. Although its performance was by no means first-class, its ease of mass production, ease of handling, and robustness made it a valuable asset in ground attack and anti-bomber combat.
The P-40N was the final production model of the P-40 series, with a total of approximately 5,200 units produced, and was the most numerous in the series. These were sent to the air forces of Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, and were also supplied to the Soviet Union. It was the P-40N-5-CU that featured a new canopy that significantly improved rearward visibility.
