Nine E-class destroyers of the British Royal Navy were completed by November 1934 under the 1931 program. They were characterized by their enhanced anti-submarine capabilities, equipped with four 12cm 45-caliber Mk.IX single guns, two 53.3cm quadruple torpedo tubes, and the ASDIC anti-submarine detection system. When World War II began, the battleship Bismarck It fought bravely in numerous naval battles, including the pursuit of the Luk and the Battle of Malaya.
