■Product Description
[Fully equipped to protect the skies of the Combined Fleet]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Isuzu, the second ship of the Nagara-class 5500-ton light cruisers of the Imperial Japanese Navy, completed in 1923. The model reproduces the ship after it was converted into an anti-aircraft cruiser between January and September 1944, towards the end of the Pacific War. The sharply finished 12.7cm twin high-angle guns, 25mm triple anti-aircraft machine guns, and radars mounted on the bridge and mast enhance the presence of the Isuzu as an anti-aircraft cruiser. It will be interesting to explore the life of the Isuzu, which changed its appearance over 22 years from its birth until it sank in April 1945 after being attacked by a US submarine, through this model.
