■Product Description
[About the Battleship Missouri] The Iowa-class battleships, the largest and last of the United States Navy, consisted of four ships commissioned during World War II. The third ship, the Missouri, was commissioned in June 1944. In addition to its high offensive power with three triple 40.6cm gun turrets and excellent defensive capabilities, it was equipped with a powerful 212,000 horsepower main engine, achieving a top speed of 33 knots. With a length of 270.4m, its maximum width was limited to 33m to allow passage through the Panama Canal, giving it a unique, elongated silhouette. Deployed to the Pacific front, the Missouri fought in various locations, including supporting operations for the invasion of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, and even bombarding mainland Japan. After the war, at the end of August 1945, it entered Tokyo Bay and etched its name in history as the stage for the signing of the surrender document on September 2nd. After the war, the Missouri was deployed in 1950. It participated in the Korean War and, after modernization, also in the 1991 Gulf War, but was decommissioned in March 1992, bringing to an end its long history of approximately half a century since its commissioning.

【Battleship Missouri's Paint Scheme】
From June 1944, when it was commissioned, until the end of the year, the Missouri was painted in a camouflage scheme called Measure 32/22D during its familiarization training period. This complex pattern was intended to mislead the ship's length and silhouette. In 1945, it was changed to Measure 22 camouflage, which was more effective at long distances at sea, and it was in this state at the surrender ceremony on September 2nd. The kit includes a large-format color painting diagram, and in particular, both the left and right sides of the Measure 32/22D camouflage are shown. Also, if you enlarge the painting diagram to 120%, it will be to actual size.

[About the Model]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the USS Missouri, a US Navy battleship. ●1/700 scale, 386.5mm in length, 47mm in width. ●The Missouri, which entered service in 1944 and participated in the Korean War and the Gulf War, is modeled in its appearance during the Pacific War. ●The long, slender hull, the curved bow, and the forward funnel integrated with the bridge are all accurately reproduced. ●The textured hull is split into left and right halves. The precise representation of the bridge structure and masts is also a highlight. ●Poly caps are used to attach the main gun turrets, allowing them to rotate even after assembly. ●The anti-aircraft armament parts, such as the 40mm twin machine guns and 20mm single machine guns, are also delicately finished. ●Two types of aircraft are included: the Vought OS2U Kingfisher and the Curtiss SC-1 Seahawk.
