■Product Description
[The power of a state-of-the-art light cruiser conveyed through the model]
The important role of a light cruiser is to command and control destroyers as the leader of a torpedo squadron while launching torpedo attacks on the enemy's main force. This is a plastic model assembly kit of the light cruiser Agano, which was built in 1939 based on the 4th Supplementary Plan as a state-of-the-art ship to serve as the flagship of a torpedo squadron, fought valiantly in various parts of the Pacific as the flagship of the 10th Squadron, and disappeared off the coast of Truk Island in 1944 after being torpedoed by an enemy submarine. The model depicts the ship as it appeared when it was completed in 1942. The sleek style with a good balance of offensive and defensive capabilities has been faithfully reproduced. The 15cm twin guns and masts are also sharply finished.
