【About Republic P-47D Thunderbolt】
With a 2000 horsepower P&WR-2800 engine, exhaust turbine feeders, and heavily armed 12.7mm machine gun, the P-51, along with the P-47 Sunderbolt, was the primary fighter aircraft of the United States Army Air Forces. Its flagship type, the D, was an early production type with a thinly narrowed upper hull from the canopy to the tail, called the razorback. The P-47D razorback used its excellent high performance and high-speed power to defend the long range of bombers heading to the German capital.
