[Early Production Model of the King Tiger, Equipped with a Porsche Turret]
The King Tiger appeared in 1944, near the end of World War II, as Germany's last mass-produced heavy tank. It had a heavily armored hull with 150mm on the front and 80mm on the sides, and was equipped with an 88mm gun, the same caliber as the Tiger I but even stronger. Its powerful destructive force, capable of penetrating 152mm armor plates at 2000m, and its strong defensive capabilities made it a feared tank for the Allied forces. The first 50 tanks were equipped with a turret developed by Porsche, and its curved form is a distinctive feature. In June 1944, the King Tiger equipped with a Porsche turret was the first King Tiger unit to confront the Allied forces that landed in Normandy.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the King Tiger heavy tank of the German Army in World War II, equipped with a Porsche turret. ★Total length 296mm, total width 108mm. ★The Porsche turret, which realistically reproduces the curved form, is molded in one piece for easy assembly. ★Differences from the mass-produced model, such as the tapered barrel, the explosive ordnance prevention cover on the grille, and the ventilator cover, are also accurately reproduced. The grille cover uses nylon mesh. ★The hatches for the commander, loader, driver, and engine inspection can be opened or closed. The tracks are belt type. ★Four types of waterslide decals are included. ★One commander figure is included.
