The M42 Duster was introduced in 1953 to operate alongside tank units and conduct anti-aircraft combat. Based on the highly mobile M41 light tank chassis, it was equipped with an open-top turret fitted with twin 40mm anti-aircraft autocannons. The powerful 40mm autocannons with a high rate of fire were used not only for anti-aircraft attacks but also for ground attacks. In particular, during the Vietnam War, it proved highly effective in supporting infantry, strafing guerrillas, and escorting transport units, earning great trust.

This is a plastic model assembly kit of the US Army's M42 Duster self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. ★1/35 scale, 180mm in length, 93mm in width. ★The distinctive open-top turret is realistically reproduced, including the 40mm autocannon, crew seats, and fire extinguisher inside. ★The running gear is also finished with a three-dimensional feel. ★The tracks are belt-type, which can be glued and painted. ★The set includes full-body figures of the tank commander pointing forward with binoculars in one hand, the loader holding ammunition, and the gunner operating the gun while seated. ★Three types of markings are available: US Army, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, and former West German Army.
