■Product Description
[The elegant form that supported the rapid advance of the Japanese Navy]
The Zero fighter continued to fight as the main fighter of the Japanese Navy from its first battle on the Chinese front until the end of the war. Among them, the Type 21 was the first full-fledged mass-produced model and was deployed mainly to the carrier task force. The wingtips were modified to fold to suit operation from aircraft carriers. Piloted by skilled crews, the Type 21 overwhelmed Allied fighters in the early stages of the Pacific War, such as the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Philippine campaign, by utilizing its long range, amazing dogfighting capabilities, and heavy armament of 20mm machine guns.
