[The masterpiece fighter that saved Britain]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Spitfire Mk.I, the main fighter of the Royal Air Force that defended mainland Britain from German bombing during the Battle of Britain in the summer of 1940. The elegant curves of the aircraft, such as the smooth nose that encloses the engine and the elliptical wings, are faithfully reproduced. The number of parts has been kept to a minimum for ease of assembly. The cockpit interior, landing gear, and exhaust pipes are also finished with a three-dimensional feel. Two types of waterslide decals are included, representing the aircraft belonging to the Royal Air Force's 92nd Squadron and 610th Squadron at the time of the Battle of Britain.
