This is a plastic model assembly kit of a German machine gunner from World War II. The model realistically depicts the gunner wearing a late-model overcoat and carrying an MG42 machine gun on his shoulder. The coat is richly three-dimensional, with a wide collar and hem to protect the neck from the cold being reproduced as separate parts. The MG42 with a drum magazine and other equipment such as the gas mask case are also delicately finished. It would be interesting to display it in a diorama style by combining it with German winter-equipped infantry (cold-weather combat uniform).
