■Product Description
First unveiled at the model event "2025 IPMS/USA National Convention" to be held in Virginia, USA from Wednesday, August 6th
>
The 5cm anti-tank gun Pak 38 began to be deployed to units in July 1940 as the successor to the 3.7cm Pak 36, the main anti-tank gun of the German army at the outbreak of World War II. It incorporated new features such as a barrel with a muzzle brake, a lightweight gun carriage made of aluminum alloy, and a curved gun shield made of two layers of 4mm thick armor plates. Using armor-piercing rounds Pzgr.39, it could penetrate 61mm thick armor plates at a 60-degree angle from a distance of 500m. The Pak 38 gained the trust of German soldiers on a wide range of fronts, starting with the Balkan front in the spring of 1941, and including Russia and North Africa, and approximately 9,600 units were produced by 1943.
