■Product Description
[The British Challenger Forged in the Desert] In the early 1990s, the Challenger 2 appeared as the British Army's main battle tank, replacing the Chieftain and Challenger 1. Based on the Challenger 1 chassis, it featured a newly designed turret and was equipped with a 120mm rifled gun incorporating the then state-of-the-art fire control system. Modified for desert warfare, it played a key role in the 2003 Iraq War, destroying numerous T-54s and T-55s of the defending forces and contributing to the early end of the conflict.
[Model Specifications] This is a 1/48 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Challenger 2. ★Overall length 243mm, overall width 84mm. ★The long 120mm rifled gun is a striking feature, and the advanced style composed of flat surfaces is modeled with easy-to-assemble parts. ★Additional armor and canvas side skirts are reproduced to capture the characteristics of vehicles deployed in the Iraq War. ★The tracks are link-type with straight sections as a single piece. ★Periscopes and combat identification panels on the front of the turret are represented by decals. ★Includes one half-figure of the tank commander and one type of marking.
