The T-34-85 is an improved version of the Soviet T-34 medium tank that repelled the German invasion in June 1941. Building upon the T-34's chassis, which boasted high defensive capabilities and mobility, the T-34-85 was equipped with a large cast turret with reinforced armor and a long-barreled 85mm gun. More than 25,000 T-34-85s were manufactured between 1944 and 1946, and they were deployed as the main force in offensive operations in the latter half of the war. With their powerful 85mm gun and enormous production numbers, they wreaked havoc and greatly contributed to Soviet victory. Even after the end of the war, the T-34-85 was used all over the world and gained a reputation as a masterpiece tank, and this T-34-85 has now been modeled in 1/48 scale, perfect for collections.
