[A Supercharger Bike that Challenges Unknown Territories]
The Ninja H2R is Kawasaki's closed-course-only model that debuted at the 2014 Cologne Show and dominated the venue's headlines. To achieve "an acceleration power that no one has ever experienced," it is equipped with a newly developed 998cc liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine and a centrifugal supercharger. This engine, which produces a maximum output of over 300 horsepower, is mounted on a steel trellis frame, and four carbon fiber wings are attached to the upper cowling and side cowls to ensure stability at high speeds. Furthermore, it is a superbike that brings together the technology of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, incorporating the latest devices such as traction control, engine brake control, and a quick shifter. In July 2016, it also achieved a record top speed of 400 km/h in its production state, astonishing the world.
