[The power of the 38cm rocket launcher is conveyed even through the model] The Stormtiger was a tank that appeared at the end of World War II as an attack tank for fortresses, mounted on the chassis of the German Tiger I tank and equipped with a 38cm rocket launcher. The thick, short rocket launcher, which is a major characteristic of its style, fires projectiles that fly using its own rocket propulsion, and was originally developed by the German Navy for attacking submarines. The massive projectile, weighing 30kg and measuring 149cm in length, had a charge weight of 135kg and a maximum range of 4600m, giving it tremendous power. Production of the Stormtiger began in August 1944 by modifying the chassis of the Tiger I, and 18 vehicles were produced by December of the same year. The first few completed vehicles were deployed to suppress the Free Polish uprising that began in Warsaw in August. After that, they were deployed in the defense of mainland Germany and fought until the end of the war.
【Model Specifications】 This is a plastic model assembly kit that realistically reproduces the imposing appearance of the Stormtiger with its thick, short gun barrel. ★1/35 scale, 181mm in length, 106mm in width. The interior of the fighting compartment, including the ammunition racks and loading rollers, is realistically modeled. ★The hatches on the top of the fighting compartment can be opened or closed. The rocket mortar and escape hatch, which even reproduce the breech mechanism, are movable. The ammunition supply crane also rotates. ★The caterpillar tracks are link-type, where each track is glued together. ★The set includes one rocket with a fuse and three rockets without fuses. One figure is included.
