■Product Description
[The Steel Beast That Overwhelmed the Allied Forces] The Elefant was a German heavy tank destroyer equipped with a powerful long-barreled 71-caliber 8.8cm gun, thick armor reaching up to 200mm, and an innovative motor-driven system powered by an engine generator. Initially named Ferdinand, 90 units were completed by May 1943. It was first deployed in combat at the Battle of Kursk in July of the same year, achieving the feat of destroying more than 500 Soviet tanks. Afterwards, various modifications were made based on lessons learned from the battle, and in February 1944, its official name was changed to Elefant. It fought valiantly on the Italian and Eastern Fronts, remaining a major threat to the Allied forces until the very end of the war.
