■ Description
【The steel giant that overwhelmed the Allies.】The Elephant was a German heavy-duty tank equipped with a powerful long-range, 71-inch, 8.8 cm gun, heavy armor up to 200 mm, and an innovative engine-powered motor drive. Initially named the Ferdinand, 90 tanks were completed by May 1943. It entered service for the first time at the Battle of Kursk in July of the same year, and resulted in more than 500 tanks being shot down by the Soviets.
