■Product Description
[Enhanced armament makes a powerful impression] After the Six-Day War in 1967, the Israeli army named the T-55 tanks captured from Arab armies the Tiran 5 and utilized them as a valuable asset to their own forces. Many vehicles had their main guns replaced from the original 100mm gun to the Western standard 105mm gun, and additional M2 heavy machine guns on the main gun shield, as well as machine guns for commanders and loaders, were added. Other distinctive features include the storage box added to the right side of the turret. They fought valiantly as part of the tank units in the Fourth Six-Day War in October 1973. Although they were withdrawn from the front lines in the early 1980s, they were used for training and rear-echelon duties and were also deployed to the Lebanon conflict.
[Model Specifications] This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the Tiran 5. ●Total length 252mm, total width 96mm. The model realistically captures the increased power of the tank, including the reinforced main gun, the M2 heavy machine gun added to the gun shield, the machine guns for the commander and loader, and the mortar mount on the left side of the turret. ●The storage box on the right side of the turret, the baskets on the rear of the turret and hull, and the water tanks in various places are also faithfully reproduced. ●Includes two half-figures of the commander and loader, and one type of decal for the 1980s specifications.
