■Product Description
[A leisure bike that gained popularity for its charming style] The Honda Dax debuted in the summer of 1969 as a leisure bike with a humorous style reminiscent of a long-bodied dachshund. The T-bone frame made of pressed steel plate, which characterizes the style, has a built-in gasoline tank, making it unique in that the tank is not visible from the outside. In addition, the adoption of small diameter tires lowers the center of gravity, and both feet can easily touch the ground, creating a high level of security. Furthermore, the front part including the handlebars can be separated so that it can be carried in the trunk of a car, and the structure is designed so that gasoline will not leak even if the vehicle is tipped over. The engine is a 4-stroke OHC single-cylinder based on the one used in the Super Cub series, Honda's best-selling motorcycle with over 6 million units produced. It's economical, highly reliable, and combined with a return-type 3-speed transmission featuring an automatic centrifugal clutch, it's designed to be safe even for first-time motorcycle riders. The Honda Dax, a new-era motorcycle, combined a distinctive style with the functionality of a leisure bike. Although domestic sales ended in 1979, they resumed in 1995, demonstrating its enduring popularity.
