【What is HoiHoi-san!?】
A super-compact insect extermination robot (Interceptor Doll) that appears in "One-Shot Insect Killer!! HoiHoi-san" and "One-Shot Insect Killer!! HoiHoi-san LEGACY" by Kunihiko Tanaka.
Developed by Mars Pharmaceuticals, "HoiHoi-san" is loved by people of all ages, from children to the elderly, for its cute appearance and wide range of customization options for equipment and clothing.
The plastic model of "HoiHoi-san" was released by Kotobukiya in September 2009.・A cute, fully articulated figure that is also an assembly-required plastic kit. This was a groundbreaking specification at the time, causing a huge sensation in the industry and becoming a major hit product.
This product concept is still carried on in Kotobukiya's character plastic models, including Frame Arms Girl.
【Points of Renewal】
・The matte finish on the skin tone and clothing parts, which was well-received in "HoiHoi-san NEW EDITION," has also been applied to the additional parts of the "Heavy Combat Ver." Even if you assemble it as is, it will have a finish close to that of a pre-painted finished product.
【Product Specifications】
・Total height approximately 125mm. A very cute 1/1 scale.
・The kit runners are molded in 6 colors. In addition, a total of 11 parts, including face parts and eye parts, are pre-painted, so you can enjoy a finish close to the image of the setting even if you just assemble it.
・By changing the three types of pre-painted eye parts, you can change HoiHoi-san's gaze (3 types: facing forward, facing right, and facing left).
・A fully articulated model with movable joints throughout the body.
・Water-slide decals are included for users who prefer painting, including the eyes and the logo on the apron.
【Additional and changed specifications in the "Heavy Combat Ver."】
・The color of Hoihoi-san's clothes has been changed from the regular version's "white x black" to a cute "pink x white" designed by the original author, Kunihiko Tanaka. The eye color has also been changed to green.
・The logo on the apron is a new design for the "Heavy Combat Ver.". The large logo is reproduced using tampo printing.
・A new "braided hair part" is included. It is selectable from the regular long hair.
・Two new face parts have been added (a cheerful "smiling face" and a disappointed "disgusted face"). Combine them with three types of eye parts to create a variety of expressions.
・New weapons include a "heavy machine gun," "Hoihoi hammer," and "insect killer (1.8L bottle)."
・An "attachment part for connecting to the new flying base" is included.
*The additional parts for the "Heavy Combat Ver." can generally be enjoyed in combination with "Hoihoi-san NEW EDITION," but when the "smiling face" part is combined with the eye parts of "Hoihoi-san NEW EDITION," the pink color inside the mouth cannot be reproduced.
