The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer "DD177 Atago" makes a reappearance in the 1/700 Waterline Series.
The "Atago," completed in 2007, is a destroyer that the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force is proud of, boasting a standard displacement of 7,700 tons and being one of the largest destroyers in terms of size and combat power. Equipped with the Aegis system, it has ballistic missile interception capabilities and bears the sole responsibility for Japan's air defense. The kit pursues not only detailed representation of the model but also ease of assembly. It consists of approximately 130 parts, and the window frames and searchlights are reproduced with clear parts. A new color printed painting instruction sheet has been added.
