The 1/350 Sailing Ship Series models famous sailing ships from around the world at an affordable price and in a size that is easy to collect.
No. 1 is the Nippon Maru, a sailing ship that Japan proudly presents to the world. The Nippon Maru was built at the Kawasaki Shipbuilding Yard in Kobe in 1929 and completed in 1930. In July 1976, as part of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of the founding of the United States, it made a magnificent entrance as a representative of maritime Japan in the Hudson River Sailing Ship Parade in New York. It is equipped with two 600-horsepower diesel engines as auxiliary power.
