The R33 Skyline, nicknamed "GT9," was born on August 19, 1993, after a full model change. Developed with the concept of "an outstanding, mainstream grand touring car," the R33 was an evolution of its predecessor, the R32, which marked the revival of the Skyline's driving performance. The battery was moved to the trunk to pursue an ideal front-to-rear weight distribution. While thoroughly enhancing driving performance, the body of all models became a 3-number size, and the interior space was also greatly improved.
