■Product Description
VW Beetle Cabriolet
The VW Beetle, a popular car born in Germany, has had an open-top model, the Cabriolet, in its lineup since 1949. The bodywork was handled by Karmann, and as proof of this, an emblem is placed on the front quarter panel. The thick soft top is highly weather-resistant, and the sight of the large folded soft top on the back when the top is down is also attractive. From 1971, the 1302S with MacPherson strut front suspension was chosen as the base, and in 1973, the panoramic window 1303S became the base. Even after the Beetle ceased production in Germany in 1978, it continued to be produced until 1980. In Japan, the official name is Convertible, and the model number 15ADK means that 15 is a 4-seater Cabriolet and AD is equipped with a 1600cc AD type engine.
