■Product Description
The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer "DD111 Ōnami" makes a reappearance in the 1/700 Waterline Series.
The "Ōnami" is the second ship of the "Takanami" class of general-purpose destroyers and entered service in 2003. It is an improved version of the "Murasame" class destroyer, with various changes including the adoption of 127mm guns as the main armament. The ship's shape was designed with stealth in mind, and the hull and superstructure are sloped. A total of five ships of this class were built, and together with the preceding "Murasame" class and the successor "Akizuki" class, they play a major role in the destroyer fleet. This kit is easy to build with a small number of parts and accurately reproduces the "Ōnami". A new color printed painting instruction sheet has been added.
