The Beginning of the GT-R Legend
The third-generation Skyline, the C10 series, was born in August 1968 after a full model change and became a hit as soon as it was released. Thanks to the popular catchphrase in the commercial, "Skyline of Love," it was affectionately known as "Aisuka" or "Suka-G" at the time. Then, in October 1968, the 2000GT-R was added to the lineup, and it made its racing debut at the JAF Grand Prix on May 1, 1969. It won first place in the TS category from its first race and continued to win race after race, completely dominating the competition and establishing the unshakeable position of the Hakosuka R.
