The second ship of this class, "Chikuma," has been made into a 1/700 scale plastic model kit in its early wartime appearance before its anti-aircraft armament was strengthened. With a parts configuration that focuses on the essentials, it is simple, easy to assemble, and accurately reproduces the ship. Various fittings such as machine guns, anti-aircraft guns, and seaplanes have been newly designed and added. The precision and detail of the 1/700 scale are well expressed.
