The M29 Weasel is a military tracked vehicle developed in the United States during World War II as a snow vehicle intended for use in special operations on snow. Its official designation is the M29 Transport Vehicle. The M29C Water Weasel is a model with enhanced water navigation capabilities, featuring floats at the front and rear and the addition of two rudders. In Japan, the National Police Reserve, established in 1950, operated M29Cs supplied by the US military in the Hokkaido area.
