■Product Description
The Horizon-class destroyer is a guided-missile destroyer jointly developed by France and Italy in the 1990s under the Horizon program. Initially, it was a tripartite joint project in which the United Kingdom also participated, with the goal of mounting a jointly developed anti-aircraft weapon system on a common hull design. However, due to differences in requirements regarding the radar and hull structure between the UK and France/Italy, the UK withdrew from the program in 1999. In 2000, France and Italy established a joint venture company, and France ordered two Forbin-class destroyers, while Italy ordered two Andrea Doria-class destroyers.
