■Product Description
France began development of this vehicle in 1946. Seeking a tank that could be transported by air, they pursued not only a redesign of the interior space but also a reduction in crew size to three, aiming for lighter weight and smaller size. For this reason, the main gun adopted an automatic loader. However, since the ammunition capacity was only 12 rounds, reloading had to be done from outside the vehicle. The main gun of the AMX-13/75 was a high-performance gun based on the one mounted on the German Panther tank. The AMX-13/90 was equipped with a 90mm smoothbore gun. The AMX-13/75 w/SS-11ATCM was equipped with four wired manual-guided anti-tank missiles. The AMX-13 had many variants, some of which were used as the base for personnel carriers and self-propelled guns.
Takom will be simultaneously releasing three 1/35 AMX-13 light tank kits with new molds.
Each kit includes photo-etched and clear parts, and the tracks are assembly type. Multiple markings are available. The hatches can be opened or closed.
Finally, a completely new mold kit of the AMX-13 has arrived!
