〇PzH2000 Self-Propelled Gun
The PzH2000 is a self-propelled gun developed in Germany as a successor to the M109 155mm self-propelled howitzer. Development of a successor to the M109, which had been deployed in Western countries since the 1960s, was initially carried out jointly by Germany, Britain, and Italy, but development was canceled due to cost and technical problems. Therefore, Germany extended the lifespan of its then-active M109 by replacing the main gun, while independently starting development of a successor. The PzH2000, which achieved long range, improved rate of fire with an automatic loader, and high mobility, has been deployed in the German Army since 1998 and has also been adopted by other countries.
