〇Corpse Cage Armor
Around 2021, Russian tanks began to appear equipped with a grid-like armor (slat armor) on top of the turret. This additional armor, which resembles a wire mesh umbrella, was called "corpse cage armor" or "birdcage armor." Initially, it was thought to be intended to counter attacks from above (top attacks) by weapons such as Javelins, but in reality, it proved to be ineffective against anti-tank missile attacks. Later, Israeli tanks also began to appear equipped with this birdcage armor. This is believed to be intended to counter attacks by drones rather than top attacks.
