The ZU-23-2 is a low-altitude anti-aircraft gun developed by the Soviet Union after World War II. The ZU-23-2, which entered service in 1960, produced about 140,000 units in the Soviet Union and licensed production in Bulgaria, Poland, Egypt, and the People's Republic of China. It was upgraded in Russia to anti-aircraft missiles and self-propelled anti-aircraft guns with obsolescence, but because of its light weight, it has been used by airborne forces and is still in use in many countries around the former Soviet Union.
